Less well-known than the Ordesa canyon, it is also wilder. You enter through a narrow, winding route, one-way, which opens into a chaos of rocks and mountain pines, through the green and turquoise waters of the Rio Vellos. It’s definitely one of the most spectacular routes in the Pyrenees. From the pass, the view over the fault of the Anisclo canyon and the Mont Perdu is breathtaking – a world of karst walls closing in on themselves to form narrow canyons and beautiful natural, emerald-coloured pools where you will enjoy swimming in the heat of the Aragon summer.
